Paula Johnson - Pilot, Explorer, Adventure Architect

Before starting Southern Drift, Paula spent 20 years in aviation - first as a bush pilot operating into remote safari lodges throughout Southern Africa, and ultimately as an international airline pilot - flying Dreamliners in Japan, South East Asia and Oceana.

She’s seen the world from sea level to 40,000 feet - now using that experience to craft journeys that go beyond the usual tourist trail. She's all about exploring the wild corners of our planet, and is passionate about sharing her expertise.

 

With 58 countries and all seven continents under her belt, she’s the kind of person who thinks “off the beaten path” is the path. From diving Malaysian islands and kitesurfing in the Dominican Republic, to canoeing the Zambezi and sailing some of the most remote oceans on earth, Paula understands the logistics of travel planning like no other, and knows that great trips don't just happen - they're engineered with precision.
